Eagles Fall Short in Series Opener Against NIU

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team fell in game one of the weekend series to Northern Illinois University, 9-5, Friday evening, May 13, at Oestrike Stadium. Prior to the game, a ceremony was held honoring the 1975-76 EMU College World Series teams.

The Eagles (19-29, 9-10 MAC) tied the Huskies (20-28, 13-9 MAC) in hits at nine apiece. Leading EMU in the contest was sophomore Brennan Williams (Commerce Township, Mich.-Walled Lake Northern) who had a 2-for-5 game including his first career triple, as well as three runs driven in.
