Eagles Fall at Butler, 14-13, in Back-and-Forth Contest

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University lacrosse team jumped out to an early lead, but was unable to grab the victory in a back-and-forth battle on the road at Butler University as the Eagles fell, 14-13, in their final non-conference game of the season. The Eagles (1-7) were led by a career offensive day from Sydney Lawrence (Wylie, Texas-Plano Senior-Oregon), who recorded a school-record in points and goals with seven and five, respectively, while the Bulldogs (4-4) were led by Leah Rubino, who scored seven goals in the game.

How It Happened
Two days removed from scoring just five times against visiting Marquette University, March 24, the Eagles' offense jumped out to a hot start as Lawrence scored 33 seconds into the game and scored a hat trick with just 2:59 elapsed in the game.
