PITTSBURGH, Pa. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team opened up the 2016-17 campaign on the road Friday, Nov. 11, when it traveled to the University of Pittsburgh for the first contest of the 2016 2K Classic. The Eagles (0-1) fought back from a deficit of as many as 12 in the second half to force two overtimes with the Panthers (1-0). EMU eventually fell, 93-90, as Pittsburgh took advantage of free throws in the final overtime. It was the first double overtime game that EMU has played in since its controversial loss last year to Ball State, 88-87, Jan.
