YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team was dropped by Mid-American Conference rival Central Michigan University, 89-82, Wednesday, Jan. 22 inside the Convocation Center. Despite holding a small lead going into the final quarter, the Eagles were not able to overcome the Chippewas' hot shooting.

As a result of tonight's game, Eastern Michigan (8-9; 3-3 MAC) drops to .500 in conference play while Central Michigan (13-4; 6-0 MAC) retains its unblemished MAC record. The Green and White's 82-point outing is the most points allowed by CMU thus far in conference action.
