Eagles Drop Game in the Late Innings at WMU

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team faltered in the late innings to drop a tough 7-4 contest at Western Michigan University, Saturday afternoon, April 23. The Eagles (13-22, 5-6 MAC) came back to tie the game in the eighth before giving up three runs in the bottom of the inning.

Starting pitcher senior Augie Gallardo (Hemet, Calif.-Hemet (Mt. San Jacinto College) made a quality start in a no decision, going a career-high seven innings and only giving up three earned runs while striking out seven. The righty now has a team-leading 45 K's on the season.
