ANN ARBOR, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team dropped a marathon 2-1 decision in 13 innings to the No. 13 ranked University of Michigan Tuesday evening, April 11, at Ray Fisher Stadium. It was the fourth walk off loss for EMU (12-20) on the season, and the second to a nationally ranked opponent after dropping a 3-2 decision to then No. 6 Louisville, March 4.
The pitching carried the day for the Eagles, as two hurlers combined to go the extra inning distance. Senior Kevin Shul (Albuquerque, N.M.-Albuquerque Academy (College of Southern Nevada)) went the first six innings in his second start of the season, marking his career-best innings pitched at EMU.
