NASHVILLE, Tenn. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team fell in its final game of the weekend series against Lipscomb University in a tight pitchers dual, 4-1, Sunday afternoon, March 20. The game was scoreless going into the eighth before the teams combined for the five runs in the eighth.
The star of the afternoon for EMU was freshman lefty Tyler Butzin (Dearborn, Mich.-John F. Kennedy) who, in his second career start, went a career-high seven innings without allowing a run and only yielding three hits, while striking out five. He picked up the no decision after LU's rally in the eighth.
