Eagles Downed in Eleventh Inning to Sun Devils

Phoenix, Ariz. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team dropped a tough decision in 11 innings, 5-4 to Arizona State University Saturday night, March 5. It was the second walk-off loss for the Eagles this season.

The Eagles (4-7) once again out-hit the Sun Devils (7-3) by an 11-9 margin. The Green and White left a season-high 17 runner on base though, rendering them unable to capitalize when it counted most. The Eagles were also hit by pitch a program record seven times, including senior Jackson Martin, who was plunked three times, tying the most in a game since 1999.
