Eagles defense propels them to fifth straight win

The Rockets went on a 15-4 run to close the game but it was not enough as the Eastern Michigan women’s basketball team defeated the University of Toledo Rockets, 58-46, Wednesday night in Toledo, Ohio.

The Eagles brought a home crowd with them on the road as they battled against the Toledo Rockets. Several EMU players are from the “Glass City” including starting guard Cha Sweeney, Tori Easley, Sasha Dailey and KaBria Walker – each had fans of their own in the rival matchup.

Just before first the media timeout of the game the Eagles began shooting 75 percent with a 10-point, 14-4 lead.
