Eagles Complete Day One of NCAA East Preliminary Round

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University track & field program saw strong performances from its throwers and hurdlers on the first day of the NCAA East Preliminary round today, May 25, at the Roger C. Haugh Complex.

How It Happened
The highlight of the day for EMU came in the 110m hurdles competition where sophomore Almighty Williamson (Baltimore, Md.-Digital Harbor (Barton C.C.)) clocked in at 13.68 for 13th overall to qualify for the quarterfinals, set for Friday at 6:15 p.m. Williamson's 13.68-second clip is the second-fastest time in school history, behind former Eagle Tiberia Patterson's time of 13.
