YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team posted a 10-4, series-opening victory over Northern Illinois University, May 14, at Oestrike Stadium.
Leading the way for the Eagles at the plate were seniors Christian Bault (Maineville, Ohio-Archbishop Moeller (Lincoln Trail)) and Mike Monahan (Saline, Mich.-Saline), who each had three base knocks and one RBI in the series opener.
Senior Luke McGuire (Shelby Twp., Mich.-Stevenson) picked up his fifth win of the season, going 6.0 innings, including five scoreless with five strikeouts to earn the win.
