YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- Former Eastern Michigan University men's basketball student-athlete Da'Sean Nelson has been signed by Fribourg Olympic of the Swiss Basketball League, the team announced Tuesday, July 22.
Nelson (Toledo, Ohio/Robert S. Rogers/Kilgore College/DePaul) is the first Eagle to earn a professional contract since Emoni Bates did so with the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers.
Nelson established himself as one of the Mid-American Conference's top players in his lone season in the Green and White. The Second-Team All-MAC honoree averaged 16.8 points per game during MAC play while posting 16.
