YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University women's cross country Head Coach Sue Parks announced redshirt senior Natalie Cizmas (Clinton Twp., Mich.-Chippewa Valley) and senior Sydney Meyers (Zionsville, Ind.-Zionsville Community) were named the cross country captains for the 2018 season, June 18.
Cizmas and Meyers each bring extensive experience into the 2018 season, having both participated in the NCAA Championships and NCAA East Regionals in the last two seasons, with Meyers also taking part in the 2015 regional race as well. On top of participating on the national stage, both were pivotal pieces in the team capturing its last two Mid-American Conference Championships, as they both earned First Team All-MAC honors in 2016, as well as both being named to the All-MAC Second Team in last year's conference title race.
