YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Just a few weeks removed from the Mid-American Conference Championships and already the circuit of summer golf tournaments is underway for members of the Eastern Michigan University men's and women's golf teams.
Max Watson (Ashland, Ohio-Ashland) won his Ohio Amateur Qualifier at Elyria Country Club, June 1 , with a four-under 68. The Ohio Amateur Championship will be held July 26-30 at Avalon Golf & Country Club in Warren, Ohio.
Back in the state of Michigan, Luke Pelak (Mattawan, Mich.-Mattawan) finished fifth at the Michigan Publinx Medal Play Championship with a two-under 214 (69-73-72).
