YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Accolades continue to roll in for Eastern Michigan University sophomore Brody Hoying (Coldwater, Ohio-Coldwater), as the Eagles' defensive back was named the Mid-American Conference Scholar Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sept. 24, the league office announced Wednesday, Sept. 27. Plus, after already earning the MAC's West Division Defensive Player of the Week honor, he also garnered honorable mention Player of the Week accolades from the Paycom Jim Thorpe Award.
The MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week honor is presented weekly to a MAC male and female student-athlete who has a cumulative grade point average of 3.
