YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Following her third consecutive sweep of the diving events that fueled the Eastern Michigan University women's swimming and diving team to a win over the University at Buffalo, freshman Brielle Johnston (Ottawa, Ontario-Catholique Franco-Quest) was named Mid-American Conference Diver of the Week, Thursday, Feb. 2.
In addition to earning the first conference award of her career, Johnston is the first Eagle diver to garner the honor in over a decade.
Johnston continued her phenomenal freshman campaign, Jan. 28, winning both the 1 and 3 meter dive against the Bulls.
