Baseball Unable to Fend off High-Powered Sun Devils

PHOENIX, Ariz. (EMUEagles.com) – An offensive hitting clinic from the Eastern Michigan University baseball team was not enough to defeat a high-powered Arizona State University team in a 12-4 loss Friday night at Phoenix Municipal Stadium.

Eastern (4-6) racked up 14 hits on the night, their second most this season. They out-hit the Sun Devils (6-4) by one, 14-13. The hits only turned into four runs though as they left 10 men on base, their second highest total this season as well.

Five Eagles finished with two-hit games, led by senior Jackson Martin (Listowel, Ontario-Listowel) who knocked in a run on a double and triple, and scored two runs.
