KALAMAZOO, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team headed home disappointed after dropping a third consecutive game to rival Western Michigan University, 7-6, today, May 5, at Robert J. Bobb Stadium. In the final game of three-game weekend series, Eastern (11-36-1; 6-15 MAC) found itself with an eighth inning lead, 6-4, before the Broncos scored three runs in the final full frame of the Sunday setback.
Offensively, the Eagles showed improvement over their performance in the series' first two contests, tallying six runs on 11 hits in the series-finale. In front of friends and family from neighboring Battle Creek, junior Nick Jones (Battle Creek, Mich.
