ROCHESTER, Mich. & RICHMOND, Ky. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University track & field team had a productive day, showcasing its talents at the Grizzly PR Classic and Rick Erdmann Twilight meet, April 17. In total, the Eagles notched 19 first-place victories, recorded several personal-best marks, and earned one national record.
EMU had no trouble in Rochester, Mich. as both teams won handily, claiming titles in over half of the events. Moreover, multiple Eagles captured individual titles for the first time in their career. Redshirt junior Ian Cook (Worthington, Ohio-Thomas Worthington) dominated the 3000m steeplechase for his first win donning the Green and Gold, clocking in at 10:01.
