Balanced Effort Leads Women's Hoops to 69-63 Win Over CSU

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – A balanced all-around effort led the Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team to a season-opening win over Cleveland State University Friday afternoon, Nov. 9, inside the Convocation Center. EMU (1-0) trailed by as many as 12, but a trio of double-digit performances and gritty defense led the Eagles to the 69-63 win over the Vikings (1-1).

Sophomore Courtnie Lewis (Belton, Mo. – Belton) led the Eagles with 20 points, after shooting an 8-of-11 from the floor, highlighted by a 4-of-5 effort beyond the arc. Redshirt sophomore Corrione Cardwell (Cleveland, Ohio – New Tech East) contributed with 14 points, four steals, and four rebounds, while redshirt senior Lorraine Enabulele (Ajax, Ontario, Canada-Notre Dame (Kansas)) added 11 points and four boards.
