YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University men's cross country team announced its 2017 team captains Tuesday, Oct. 3. The Eagles have named redshirt senior Hlynur Andresson (Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland-Mountain Ridge) and senior Abel Flores (Defiance, Ohio-Defiance) to lead the team throughout the rest of the season.

"Both Abel and Hlynur are so very deserving to be selected co-captains of the 2017 Eastern Michigan University cross country team," said Head Coach John Goodridge. "Both of them have dramatically developed throughout their careers here, from very modest high school credentials, to now being two of the very best cross country runners in the Mid-American Conference, as well as both making the NCAA Great Lakes All-Region Team last year.
