CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) -- Eastern Michigan University volleyball senior Alyssa LaFace (Allen Park, Mich.-Allen Park) was named the Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Week for her performances against Miami University and Bowling Green State University, the league office announced, Monday, Oct. 15.
The honor is the third of the season for LaFace, and marks the seventh time an Eagle has earned a weekly MAC award in 2018.
LaFace once again proved stout on the defensive side of the ball for Eastern Michigan, amassing 60 digs in two matches against MAC East leaders Miami and Bowling Green, averaging 6.
