Alejandro Wraps up 2016 Olympic Games

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University men's track and field alumnus Eric Alejandro ('08) resumed action today, August 16, in the semifinals of the 400m hurdles at the 2016 Olympic Games. Fighting for a spot in his first-ever Olympic finals, Alejandro ran a solid race in a tough heat of the world's top hurdlers.

In his second-ever Olympic semifinals, the former Eagle posted a time of 49.95 seconds, which was good for seventh in his heat. Overall, Alejandro finished 23rd, ultimately missing out on a bid to the finals.
