The East Carolina University women’s tennis team defeated Tulane University 4-1 and the University of Memphis 4-2 on the road in New Orleans, Louisiana on Friday and Saturday to snap its two game losing streak, and get its first two wins of the year.
After losing the first two games against North Carolina State University and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, playing the best two teams on their schedule at the beginning of the year, the Pirates (2-2) have yet to play a game at home this season.
“The two losses we had were both in the top 15 in the nation, so you have NC State that’s ranked 14th and then North Carolina that’s ranked two I think right now, they were three when we played them.
