Head coach Tom Morris and East Carolina University women’s tennis team showed improvement in their doubles matches at the Charlotte Invite hosted by the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
The top the duos in doubles went 2-1 for ECU. Freshmen tennis players Hanna Axelsson and Sibel Tanik gained their first win against Long Island University pair of freshmen tennis players Bianca Compuesto and Elinor Storkraas, finishing the match 7-5. After losing their second match to Charleston Southern University (6-7), Axelsson and Tanik went on to win their final match versus the hosting team of UNCC (6-3). These victories pushed the duos record to 5-1 together.
