Yesterday, the East Carolina University women’s swimming program was named a Scholar All-American Team by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.
The ECU athletic department emailed out a press release regarding the honor.
“It is the 21st consecutive semester which the team was recognized by the organization for achieving a GPA of 3.0 or higher,” according to the press release.
The women’s team had a 4-3 record during the 2018-2019 season, and placed sixth place out of six total teams in the NCAA Championship.
The team was recognized for having a 3.0 GPA or higher, and the ECU women’s team had an average of a 3.
