The East Carolina University Women’s Basketball team fell to Tulane University 68-57 in its American Athletic Conference opener on Saturday.
The game was played in Devlin Fieldhouse, in New Orleans, Louisiana and was ECU’s fourth road game of the season. The Pirates (9-5, 0-1 AAC), who have lost three straight games after Saturday, and have not performed well when being the visiting team, as four of their five losses so far this year have come on the road.
The first half was slow on both sides of the ball for ECU. The Pirates were down 8-0 before scoring their first points of the game thanks to sophomore guard Lashonda Monk.
