The East Carolina University Track and Field team will be having an unusual weekend. Both the men’s and women’s teams will be splitting up with the distance runners and the throwers participating in the Pickle Field Relays in Mount Olive, North Carolina while the rest go and compete in the Aggie Invitational in Greensboro, North Carolina.
This weekend and the next weekend will be the last regular season meets for the Pirates before they travel to Wichita, Kansas to compete in the American Athletic Championships.
Last year the Pirates didn’t compete in the Pickle Field Relays, but they did race in the Aggie Invitational.
