The East Carolina University men’s tennis team traveled to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Saturday to play conference rival Temple University. Although the Pirates were able to put up a fight, they lost in the end to Temple 4-2.
ECU(13-5, 1-1 AAC) played Temple (9-6, 2-1 AAC) who has been undefeated in its last four games at home.
The Pirates scored first by getting the doubles point early. They got the doubles point after redshirt junior Austin Allen and freshman Diogo Marques won on court two 7-7, 6-2, and junior Javier Renones and sophomore Wisse Jonker prevailed on court one 6-4.
