East Carolina University men and women’s swimming and diving teams opened its season this weekend, both winning against Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
The men’s team won their events with a final score of 198-92, while the women finished with a score of 188-107. The men won all 16 events. Sophomore Marek Osina won three individual events, edging out senior teammate Magnus Andersen twice to sweep the backstroke events. Osina touched 0.47 seconds ahead of Andersen to win the 100 meter, then won the 200 meter touching 1.07 seconds ahead.
“Great team wins tonight in Norfolk,” head coach Matthew Jabs said on twitter.
