On June 11, the East Carolina University swimming and diving team announced that the team has a total of 18 new players that have signed for the upcoming season. There are five men and 13 women who will be joining for the 2019-2020 season.
Head coach Matthew Jabs announced the signing of the 18 new athletes via press conference on Tuesday June 11.
“We are very excited to add these student-athletes to our Pirate family this fall,” Jabs said.
During the 2018-2019 season, the women’s team got sixth place at the American Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships and earned a 4-3 dual meet record on the season.
