Senior tennis player Nastja Rettich led East Carolina University women’s tennis team in its first full roster tournament, going undefeated in her singles matches.
Rettich played her first match against Coastal Carolina University freshman Valentina Urelli, she won the first two sets needed to win the match (6-3, 6-0). The next round Rettich took on was a player from Campbell University where she defeated her opponent in the first two sets once again (6-2, 6-1). The final singles round Rettich completed her undefeated singles run against University of North Carolina at Greensboro sophomore Ariana Chan (6-2, 6-1).
“Congratulations to Nastja Rettich, who had a great tournament, winning all three singles matches and two of three in doubles,” head coach Tom Morris said in a press release.
