The East Carolina University (3-7, 0-0 AAC) women’s basketball team will begin its games in the West Palm Beach Classic with a matchup against Northwestern University (8-1, 0-0 Big 10) on Friday. The Pirates enter the tournament coming off a three-game losing streak and hope to turn things around.
ECU currently stands at 3-7 overall on the season and have hit a particularly rough patch in recent weeks. After losing to Wake Forest University (5-4,0-0 ACC) 76-53, Liberty University (5-6, 0-0 Big South) 66-81 and Howard University (7-4, 0-0 MEAC) 51-67, the Pirates have had a few days off to recharge before the tournament.
