After blowing out Wichita State University on Wednesday, the East Carolina University women’s basketball team fell to the University of Tulsa 75-55 yesterday for its second conference loss this season.
Tulsa (9-7; AAC 3-0) posted the first 14 points of the game before ECU (10-6; AAC 1-2) could even get on the board. This slow start forced the Pirates to catch up the remainder of the first half being a few points behind.
“They started on a 14-0 run and we did cut it to I think 10 at one point but they hit a couple of shots to get their lead back up,” acting head coach Nicole Mealing said.
