After pulling off a huge upset against the University of Cincinnati last Saturday, the East Carolina University men’s basketball team found itself on the losing end of a tight matchup with the University of Memphis Thursday night.
The first half was all ECU (8-7, 1-2 AAC). The Pirates started off the game by shooting 12-for-19 from the field. They led the Tigers (10-6, 2-1 AAC) by as much as 15 points in the first half. The score was 33-18 with 08:03 left in the period before Memphis came back to make it a game. The Tigers ended the half on a 18-7 run to pull themselves within four at the half, 40-36.
