Montini takes her talents to France

East Carolina University Athletics announced on Monday that former ECU volleyball player Natalie Montini signed a contract to play professional volleyball for the Villejuif-Volley Club in Villejuif, France.

Montini was named part of the 2017 American Athletic Conference first team. She finished her career with 330 blocks that placed her seventh all time for the Pirates, 118 of those blocks came in her last year for ECU. Montini finished third in the AAC in hitting percentage at 34.1 percent and had double-digit kills in 17 matches back in 2017.

"If it wasn't for ECU, Coach Torbett and the relationships I made, I wouldn't be the person or player that I am today nor would I have this professional opportunity," Montini stated per ecupirates.
