East Carolina University Men’s golf team traveled to Kannapolis, North Carolina last weekend to compete in the Irish Creek Intercollegiate tournament where the Pirates finished seventh.
“Early in the round we were tied for the lead after getting off to a good start,” head coach Andrew Sapp said in the press release. “Being in the final wave of top teams for the last round was definitely an experience this young team needed and hopefully the next time we are in that situation we will capitalize on it more. We just couldn’t make the birdies down the stretch on the back nine after getting off to a really good start.
