Despite walking away with its third loss in a row, the East Carolina University men’s basketball team (1-3, 0-0 AAC) did successfully honor the United States Military on Saturday night in Minges Coliseum.
ECU was defeated by Liberty University (4-0, 0-0 ASUN) 57-77. While in the first half the Pirates managed to keep pace, in the second the Flames went on an unmatched run which pushed them ahead 20 points. ECU missed several free throw (12-of-22, 54.5%) and layup (12-of-23, 52.2%) opportunities that cost them several points.
