Lincoln Riley – Oklahoma Offensive Coordinator
It would only make sense that ECU would want Riley back on the coaching staff, as he spent five years as the Pirate’s offensive coordinator before taking a job with the college football playoff bound Oklahoma Sooners. Riley orchestrated record-breaking offenses throughout his stay in Greenville, coaching the likes of Shane Carden and Justin Hardy, two of the best players in school history
Although the hire would make perfect sense, it seems to be unlikely. Riley spent all five of his season’s at ECU under former Pirate coach Ruffin McNeill, developing a great friendship, making it difficult for Riley to accept the job if offered.
