ECU women’s lacrosse dominate Gardner-Webb

For many new programs success doesn’t come early, but the East Carolina University lacrosse team has started off its second official season red hot as it’s now 2-0 after a win against Gardner-Webb University.

The Pirates were able to pull off an 18-11 victory against Gardner-Webb after coming off their season opener against Winthrop University in which the Pirates won 13-12. Sophomore midfielder, Megan Pallozzi lead the Pirates with four goals, two assists and five shots on goal, while her fellow midfielder sophomore Brittany Borchers led the team with four assists and contributed two goals as well.

“I think we definitely started off great,” sophomore goalkeeper Christina White said.
