The East Carolina University volleyball team welcomed No. 13 ranked University of Central Florida to Minges Coliseum for a matchup that would prove to be too much for the Pirates, as they got swept by the Knights 3-0.
After starting conference play 4-1, ECU (12-6, 4-3 AAC) came into Friday’s game against the University of Central Florida (16-3, 7-0 AAC) on a two-game losing streak. Those two losses came against Wichita State University (9-9, 4-3 AAC) 3-0 and the University of Tulsa (13-6, 5-2 AAC) 3-1.
ECU and UCF (17-3, 8-0 AAC) started the first set going back and forth with neither team able to pull away.
