While many students spent the Thanksgiving break with their families at home, the East Carolina University men’s basketball team used the break to play two home games in Minges Coliseum, coming away 1-1 over the break.
The Pirates (4-3) were unable to come away with a win over in-state foe High Point University on Saturday, as legendary head coach Tubby Smith was able to pick up his 600th career win in the 55-52 victory over the Pirates. ECU was unable to keep High Point off the glass, as they out-rebounded the Pirates 32-27 and allowed them to reach the free throw line 23 times.
