East Carolina University’s Board of Trustees approved the terms of Jeff Compher’s departure as the school’s athletic director earlier this morning, with Compher officially set to step down May 1.
Compher and ECU agreed to part ways after a progressive five-year span that began in 2013. According to the press release, Compher will be eligible to receive up to a total of $1,262,500 over five years ending April 30, 2023 per the departure agreement. Compher’s original contract was set to end April 1, 2018, before he received a five-year extension in 2017.
