The No. 8 East Carolina University baseball team saw its 10 game winning streak snapped but bounced back on Saturday to get a 2-1 series win against the University of Houston on Friday and Saturday at Schroeder Park in Houston, Texas.
The Pirates (24-7, 8-1 AAC) had a 10 game win streak going into the weekend, in which they swept the University of Maryland (14-14, 0-0 B10), the University of South Florida (13-15, 1-6 AAC) and the University of Central Florida (19-11, 2-5 AAC) in three straight weekend series, then Duke University (14-15, 3-9 ACC) in a midweek home game.
