ECU baseball blanks George Mason behind trio of pitchers

Former South Central standout and freshman, Cam Colmore, collected the win and did so in dominant fashion, allowing one hit through four innings with four strikeouts. The goose egg helped add to his now five scoreless innings pitched on the season.

“Ever since I was a little kid I’ve been coming to ECU games,” said Colmore. “ I was a little nervous going into it, so then I got down there and after the first inning I was all good.”

Colmore (1-0) was later aided by freshman Sam Lanier and sophomore Davis Kirkpatrick. Lanier pitched two innings allowing two hits and no runs while recording two strike outs and Kirkpatrick finished the final three innings; recording three strikeouts, and also only two hits.
