Dowdy Student Stores T-shirt sales raise $5250 for ALS Association

Over the last year, the East Carolina Pirates took on the challenge of helping to combat the neurodegenerative disease ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) by designing T-shirts to promote awareness and raise money for research on the disease within the Greenville community.

As part of Dowdy Student Stores’ “Cool Tees for a Cause,” the store paired up with its vendor Perfect Promotions & More of Apex, North Carolina to create the “Strike Out ALS” T-shirts for this last year’s cause. The T-shirts were for sale throughout the year at Dowdy Student Stores, as well as at its souvenir booth in the Clark-LeClair Stadium during baseball season.
