It probably won’t be his last but it’ll always be his first: Zion OMG Williamson was named the Sporting News Player of the Year Tuesday.
He was also named TSN’s Freshman of the Year.
There’s a lot of good stuff in there but check out what Pitt assistant coach Jeff Capel said about Williamson: “His ability to rebound, to carve out space is what jumps off the page. But the kid competes. He plays with a passion. When you see him in person, just how big he is, how fast he is and how explosive he is, and the fact he has a motor, that’s a scary combination in college basketball.
