If you catch him in an honest moment, we’re pretty sure that Michael Jordan would tell you that he was the greatest player in NBA history and obviously he’s not the only one who thinks that.
But if you ask him who he thinks the best player in ACC history is, our bet is that Jordan would immediately say David Thompson.
For guys of Jordan’s age, Thompson was an unparalleled talent. In the 1974 tournament he left some inedible memories. For one, here’s Thompson blocking Bill Walton’s shot. Keep in mind that Thompson was listed at 6-4, but Norm Sloan’s team traditionally added an inch to just about everyone’s height.
