In a galaxy long ago and far away, Georgia Tech was great. Like Top five great. UNC was great, Maryland was close to it, NC State was excellent, Wake Forest at least had Muggsy Bogues and Duke was just beginning the Krzyzewski era.
So we thought it would be good to get in the Wayback Machine and set the dial to 1986 to revisit a game which featured Johnny Dawkins and Mark Price, two guys who we think respected each other but didn’t particularly like each other very much.
It was a classic rivalry. And then there was also John Salley and Bruce Dalrymple.
