DURHAM – Sophomore Jala Wright recorded the third no-hitter in program history, as the No. 13 Duke softball program (10-2, 0-0 ACC) shut out Army 8-0 on the opening day of the Duke Invitational at Duke Softball Stadium.
"I'm feeling great," said Wright. "All thanks go to my teammates and Coach Young. She pulled me aside earlier just telling me 'J, throw your game and that's what I did.'"
The Blue Devils defeated the Black Knights (1-5, 0-0 Patriot League) in the lone game of the day of the Duke Invitational.
